Tobramycin Dexamethasone Eye Drops | 0.3%/0.1% | 1Bottle/box |
Tobramycin-dexamethasone eye drops are a combination medication used to treat bacterial eye infections and associated inflammation. It combines tobramycin, an antibiotic, with dexamethasone, a corticosteroid, in eye drop form for convenient administration directly to the affected eye(s).
Tobramycin-dexamethasone eye drops are indicated for the treatment of bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis (pink eye) and keratitis (corneal inflammation), when accompanied by inflammation.
Dosage and Administration:
The dosage and administration of tobramycin-dexamethasone eye drops depend on the severity of the infection and the healthcare provider's recommendation. Typically, one to two drops are instilled into the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours for a specified duration, as directed by the prescribing healthcare professional.
Precautions:
Tobramycin-dexamethasone eye drops should be used with caution in patients with a history of ocular herpes simplex virus infection, as corticosteroids may exacerbate viral infections. Long-term or frequent use of corticosteroid-containing eye drops may also increase the risk of ocular complications, such as glaucoma or cataracts.
