Indications:
It is used to treat respiratory tract infection, gastrointestinal and digestive tract infection, urinary tract infection, soft tissue infection and meningitis, sepsis, endocarditis caused by sensitive bacteria.
Adverse reactions:
1. The adverse reactions of this product are similar to those of Cillin, and allergic reactions are more common. Rash is the most common reaction, usually occurring 5 days after medication, presenting as urticaria or maculopapular rash. Interstitial nephritis may also occur; Anaphylactic shock is rare.
2. Gastrointestinal reactions such as glossitis, gastritis, nausea, vomiting, enteritis, diarrhea and mild abdominal pain are also more common.
3. Granulocyte and thrombocytopenia are occasionally seen in patients treated with ampicillin. Antibiotic-associated enteritis is rare, and a few patients have elevated serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT).
Pharmacology and toxicology:
This product is effective against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, positive bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis (including icillin resistant and some methicillin resistant strains), pneumococcus, streptococcus faecalis and other streptococcus genera; The negative bacteria included Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Bruchankatella, Escherichia, Klebsiella, Proteus mirabilis, etc. Anaerobic bacteria include Bacillus fragilis. Ampicillin sodium is the bactericidal component in this product, which acts on the active reproduction stage of bacteria and plays a bactericidal role by inhibiting the biosynthesis of cell wall mucopeptide. Prosulfa, a benzoic acid derivative, competes with ampicillin as the same active transport carrier in renal tubules, inhibits the excretion of the latter from renal tubules, increases the blood concentration of ampicillin and prolonging the half-life of blood elimination.
