This product is suitable for the treatment of seasonal or perennial rhinitis in adults, adolescents and children aged 3 to 11 years. For patients who have had moderate to severe symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis, it is recommended to use this product as a preventive treatment 2-4 weeks before the start of pollen season.
Usage and dosage:
Seasonal allergic or perennial rhinitis
Usually, the sprayer is started by hand 6 to 7 times until a uniform spray is seen, and then nasal administration, each time the sprayer is sprayed with Mometasone furoate suspension of about 100μg, containing Mometasone furoate monohydrate, equivalent to Mometasone furoate 50μg, if the sprayer is stopped for 14 days or more, it should be restarted at the next application.
Shake the container thoroughly before each administration.
Adults (including elderly patients) and young adults: The commonly recommended dose for prevention and treatment is 2 PDS per nostril (50μg per PDS), once a day (200μg total), once symptoms have been controlled, the dose can be reduced to 1 PDS per nostril (100μg total) to maintain efficacy.
If symptoms are not effectively controlled, the dose can be increased to the maximum daily dose of 4 press-4 per nostril, once a day (total 400μg), and reduced after symptoms are controlled.
Significant clinical results can be achieved as early as 12 hours after the first dose.
For children 3 to 11 years of age: The commonly recommended dose is 1 press per nostril (50μg per press), once a day (100μg total).
Matters needing attention:
Do not puncture the nozzle.
Cleaning of nasal sprays: Regular cleaning of nasal sprays is very important, otherwise it will affect the normal work of nasal sprays. When cleaning, remove the dust cap, gently remove the nozzle, clean the nozzle and dust cap in warm water, and then rinse under the running water. Do not insert needles or other sharp instruments into the nozzle, this operation will damage the nozzle, resulting in the correct dose of medication cannot be released. After cleaning, this product can be placed in a warm space to dry, restore the nozzle to the bottle, and cover the dust-proof cap. When using for the first time after cleaning, hand press the spray twice to restart.
This product should not be used for untreated local infections involving the mucous membranes of the nose.
Because glucocorticoids inhibit wound healing, nasal glucocorticoids should not be used in patients who have recently undergone nasal surgery or suffered trauma before wound healing.
After 12 months of treatment, no atrophy of the nasal mucosa was observed, and Mometasone furoate restored the nasal mucosa to normal histological manifestations. As with any drug in long-term use, the nasal mucosa should be examined regularly in patients who have been using this drug for several months or longer, and if a local fungal infection occurs in the nasopharynx, this drug should be discontinued or appropriate treatment should be given. Persistent nasopharyngeal irritation may be an indication of discontinuation of this drug.
