Medication for special population:
Animal reproduction tests showed that amoxicillin at 10 times the human dose did not harm fertility and litter in rats and mice. However, there are insufficient controlled studies in humans, and since animal reproductive tests cannot fully predict human responses, pregnant women should use this product only when necessary.
Because the milk can secrete a small amount of amoxicillin, breast milk may cause allergies to infants.
Drug interaction:
1. The drug competitively reduces the secretion of renal tubules, and the combination of the two can lead to increased blood concentration and prolonged half-life of amoxicillin.
2. Chloramphenicol, macrolides, sulfonamides and tetracycline interfere with the antibacterial action of amoxicillin in vitro, but their clinical significance is unclear.
