Character:
This product is colorless or slightly bluish purple clear liquid, slightly sulfur taste.

Indications:
Treatment of respiratory diseases with excessive thick mucus discharge such as acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and its exacerbations, emphysema, gunk obstruction and bronchiectasis.

Adverse reactions:
Occasional allergic reactions, such as hives and rare bronchospasm, occur with systemic medication. The spray can irritate the nasopharynx and gastrointestinal tract. Nasal discharge, gastrointestinal irritation, such as stomatitis, nausea, and vomiting may occur.
In very rare cases, severe skin reactions, such as Steven-Johnson syndrome and Lyell's syndrome, have been reported to occur in a temporal relationship with acetylcysteine administration. In most cases, it was possible to identify at least one co-suspect drug that was more likely to be involved in triggering the reported cutaneous mucosal syndrome. Because of this, if any new changes occur in the skin or mucous membranes, seek medical attention immediately and stop using acetylcysteine immediately.
Some studies have confirmed that reduced platelet aggregation can occur after acetylcysteine administration. Its clinical significance has not been determined.

Pharmacology and toxicology:
Pharmacological action: The sulfhydryl group in the molecular structure of acetylcysteine breaks the disulfide bond between mucin molecular complexes, reduces the viscosity of sputum, and makes sputum easy to cough up.
Toxicological studies: Acetylcysteine toxicity is very low. The LD50 of oral acetylcysteine in rats was higher than 10g/kg, and the rats showed good tolerance by oral administration of 1g/kg/ day for 12 weeks. Dogs were given 300mg/kg/ day orally for 1 year and no toxic reactions were observed.
Reproductive toxicity. No deformities were observed in the offspring organs of rats and rabbits after large dose of acetylcysteine during pregnancy. In the study of mutagenicity, acetylcysteine has no mutagenicity.
