As an alternative treatment for the following conditions when oral therapy is not available: duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, reflux esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Usage and dosage:
Intravenous infusion: Dissolve the contents of the bottle in l00 ml 0.9% sodium chloride injection or 100 ml 5% glucose injection before use. After dissolution, intravenous infusion time should be 20 to 30 minutes or longer. Dissolving or diluting with other solvents or other drugs is prohibited.
When oral therapy is not appropriate for patients with duodenal ulcer, gastric ulcer, and reflux esophagitis, intravenous infusion of 40mg once daily is recommended.
Intravenous omeprazole 60mg once daily is recommended as the starting dose for patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome may require higher daily doses, which should be individualized. Two doses were administered when the daily dose exceeded 60mg.
1. This product can inhibit gastric acid secretion for a long time, so it is not appropriate to take other antacids or acid suppressors at the same time. In order to prevent excessive acid inhibition, long-term application of large dose is not recommended in general peptic ulcer and other diseases (except for patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). 2. Since this product can significantly increase the pH in the stomach, it may affect the absorption of many drugs.
3. Patients with impaired renal function should not adjust the dose; The liver function is impaired with caution, according to the need to reduce the amount.
4. In the treatment of gastric ulcer, gastric cancer should be excluded before using this product to avoid delay in diagnosis and treatment.
5. If patients are taking proton pump inhibitors for a long time, they should pay attention to the possible risk of fracture (especially in elderly patients) during the course of medication, and regularly monitor blood magnesium levels to prevent hypomagnesia.
6. Due to the interaction between proton pump inhibitors and clopidogrel, it is recommended that patients taking Clopidogrel communicate with their doctors about the safety of medication before treatment to ensure the safety of medication.
Medication for special population:
Although animal experiments have not found that this product has adverse effects on pregnancy and lactation or toxic or teratogenic effects on the fetus, it is recommended that women during pregnancy and lactation do not use it as much as possible.
Drug interaction:
Because this product reduces acidity in the stomach, absorption of some drugs may be altered. Therefore, ketoconazole and itraconazole are absorbed less when treated with omeprazole or other acid inhibitors or antacids.
