Indications:
This product is suitable for infection caused by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and other bacteria: sepsis, infective endocarditis, osteomyelitis, arthritis, burn, surgical trauma and other superficial secondary infection, pneumonia, lung abscess, empyema, peritonitis, meningitis.

Adverse reactions:
In the 107 cases of safety evaluation, 33 cases (30.8%) were found to have abnormal side effects of clinical examination values, and in the 3009 cases of safety evaluation, 404 cases (13.43%) were found to have abnormal side effects of clinical examination values.

Major side effects:
1) Shock and anaphylactic symptoms (less than 0.1%) : Because shock and anaphylactic symptoms (dyspnea, systemic flushing, edema, etc.) can be produced, careful observation should be made, and if symptoms occur, medication should be stopped and appropriate treatment measures should be taken.
2) Acute renal insufficiency (0.5%), interstitial nephritis (frequency unknown) : Due to the occurrence of acute renal insufficiency, interstitial nephritis and other important renal damage, it is necessary to carry out regular examination, if abnormal it is best to stop the administration, if it is necessary to continue the administration, the dose should be reduced carefully.
3) A variety of hemocytopenia (less than 0.1%), no granulocytemia, and decreased blood plate (frequency unknown) : because of aplastic anemia, no granulocytemia, and decreased blood plate, if abnormal drug administration is found, appropriate treatment measures should be taken.
4) Cutaneous mucous membrane syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrosis (Lyell syndrome), exfoliative dermatitis (frequency unknown) : Due to the occurrence of skin and mucous membrane syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrosis (Lyell syndrome), and exfoliative dermatitis, attention should be paid. If such symptoms occur, medication should be stopped and appropriate management measures should be taken.
5) 8th cranic nerve injury (less than 0.1%) : It is necessary to have a hearing examination because of the symptoms of the 8th cranic nerve injury such as vertigo, tinnitus, and poor hearing. If the above symptoms appear, it is best to stop the medication, and if the medication must continue, it should be carefully administered.
6) Pseudomembranous colitis (frequency unknown) : Due to the occurrence of severe enteritis such as pseudomembranous colitis accompanied by bloody stool, the administration of the drug should be stopped when abdominal pain and diarrhea symptoms occur, and appropriate treatment measures should be taken.
7) Liver function damage, jaundice (unknown frequency) : Due to the rise of AST (GOT), ALT (GPT), AFP, jaundice, it is necessary to carry out regular examination, if abnormal should stop the administration, take appropriate treatment measures.

Pharmacology and toxicology:

Antibacterial effect: Vancomycin was effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in in vitro drug susceptibility tests, and there was no cross-resistance with other antibacterial drugs. In addition, the induced resistance to vancomycin was also very low in the passage culture test with MRSA in vitro. In vitro susceptibility tests, vancomycin was ineffective against gram-negative bacteria.
Mechanism of action: Vancomycin can inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell wall, has a bactericidal effect, in addition, it can also change the permeability of bacterial cell membrane and hinder the synthesis of bacterial RNA.
