Amoxicillin Sodium and Clavulanate Potassium for Injection
Each vial contains:
Amoxicillin Sodium: Equivalent to 500mg, 1000mg, or 2000mg of Amoxicillin.
Clavulanate Potassium: Equivalent to 100mg, 200mg, or 400mg of Clavulanic Acid.
Amoxicillin Sodium and Clavulanate Potassium for Injection is a combination antibiotic medication. This medication is used to treat infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria, including:
Severe respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, empyema)
Complicated urinary tract infections (e.g., pyelonephritis)
Intra-abdominal infections (e.g., peritonitis)
Skin and soft tissue infections (e.g., cellulitis, abscesses)
Bone and joint infections (e.g., osteomyelitis)
Septicemia

Children <40kg:
Dosage: 25-45mg/kg body weight per day (based on amoxicillin component), divided into 2-3 doses.
