Indications:

(1) In combination with other anti-tuberculosis drugs, it is suitable for the treatment of all types of tuberculosis, including tuberculous meningitis and other mycobacterial infections. (2) Single use for the prevention of various types of tuberculosis: family members or close contacts of newly diagnosed tuberculosis patients; Strong positive tuberculin pure protein derivative test (PPD) and chest X-ray examination consistent with non-progressive tuberculosis, sputum negative, have not received formal anti-tuberculosis treatment in the past; (3) Patients who are receiving immunosuppressive agents or long-term hormone therapy, some hematological diseases or reticuloendothelial system diseases (such as leukemia, Hodgkin's disease), diabetes mellitus, uremia, silicosis or gastrectomy, and whose tuberculin pure protein derivative test is positive; Patients under 35 years of age with positive tuberculin pure protein derivative test; People who are known or suspected to be HIV-infected, whose tuberculin pure protein derivative test is positive, or who have close contact with patients with active tuberculosis.

 

Usage and dosage:

Oral prophylaxis: 0.3g (3 tablets) per day for adults, taken after meal; Children should take 10mg/kg daily according to body weight, and the daily total should not exceed 0.3g (3 tablets). Treatment: adults combined with other anti-tuberculosis drugs, according to body weight orally 5mg/kg daily, up to 0.3g (3 tablets); Or 15mg/kg daily, up to 900mg (9 tablets), 2 to 3 times a week. Children according to the weight of 10 to 20mg/kg per day, not more than 0.3g (3 tablets) per day, take. Some children with severe tuberculosis (such as tuberculous meningitis) can be as high as 30mg/kg per day according to body weight (up to 500mg per day (5 tablets)), but attention should be paid to the occurrence of liver function damage and peripheral neuritis.

Matters needing attention:

(1) Cross-allergic reactions, people who are allergic to ethylthioisonicotinamide, pyrazinamide, niacin or other drugs related to chemical structure may also be allergic to this product.

(2) Interference with diagnosis: The determination of urine sugar with copper sulfate method can be a false positive reaction, but it does not affect the results of enzymatic determination. Isoniazid can increase the levels of serum bilirubin, alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase.

(3) Patients with a history of mental illness, epilepsy, and severe renal impairment should be used with caution.

(4) If there is inflammation of the optic nerve during the course of treatment, eye examination should be conducted immediately and regularly reviewed.

(5) Large doses of vitamin B6 can be used to counter isoniazid poisoning.
