Product name:
Cefonicid Sodium for Injection 1g

Character:
This product is white or white powder or crystalline powder, odorless.

Indications:
It is suitable for infections caused by the following sensitive bacteria: lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, septicaemia, skin soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections. It can also be used in surgery to prevent infection. A single dose of 1g cefonicil given before surgery can reduce the incidence of postoperative infection due to contamination or potential contamination during surgery. The use of cefonicil during caesarean section (after cutting the umbilical cord) may reduce the incidence of some postoperative infections.

Drug interaction:
1. Toxic kidney damage has been reported in combination with other cephalosporins and aminoglycoside antibiotics. It should not be administered in the same injection container as aminoglycosides.
2. When combined with methylsulfonamide, it can slow down renal excretion, increase blood concentration levels, and cause toxicity.
3. When combined with strong diuretics, it may lead to increased renal toxicity.
4. Tetracycline, erythromycin and chloramphenicol can reduce the action of this drug.
5. When used with alcohol, the drug may trigger metabolic disorders.
6. Cefonicil can reduce the effect of oral contraceptives, and other effective contraceptive methods should be used.
7. Interference to the experimental inspection value, Coombs' test false positive rate increased.

Pharmacology and toxicology:

1. Pharmacological action
Cefonicil sodium is the second generation of broad-spectrum and long-acting cephalosporin antibiotics, which can produce antibacterial activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It has antibacterial effect on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and some anaerobic bacteria. Stable for most beta-lactamases.
Cefonicil has been shown to be effective against the following microorganisms in vitro and in clinical trials:
Gram-positive aerobic bacteria
Staphylococcus aureus (including β-lactamase-producing and non-producing strains), Staphylococcus epidermidis (also resistant to methicillin-resistant staphylococcus), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes (group A β-hemolytic streptococcus), Streptococcus agalactis (Group B streptococcus);
Gram-negative aerobic bacteria
Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pradensia, Morganella morgeni, Proteus common, Proteus mirabilis, Haemophilus influenzae (including ampicillin sensitive and resistant strains);
In vitro antimicrobial data show that cefonicil is effective against the following microorganisms, but clinical effectiveness has not been determined:
Gram-negative aerobic bacteria
Moraxella kattamella, Klebsiella oxytocin, Enterobacter aerogenes, Neisseria gonorrhoeae (including penicillin-sensitive and drug-resistant bacteria), citrobacter fischeri, citrobacter heterotype.
Gram-positive anaerobic bacteria
Clostridium perfringens, anaerobic peptostreptococcus, peptostreptococcus magna, peptostreptococcus prevoi, Propionibacterium acnes;
Gram-negative anaerobic bacteria
Clostridium megacaryum.
Cefonicil is not effective against Pseudomonas, Serratia, Enterococcus, Acinetobacter and Fragilis in vitro.
2. Toxicological study
Genotoxicology: Mutagenicity studies (including Ames test and mouse micronucleus test) were negative.
Physiological toxicity: lactam antibiotics with methiontetrazolium side chains have been shown to cause testicular atrophy in prepubertal rats, resulting in reduced spermatogenesis and reduced fertility after reaching maturity.
Cefonicil contains a portion of methiontetrazole and has no adverse effects on the reproductive system of juvenile, adolescent and adult male rats under the same conditions.
Carcinogenicity: Long-term carcinogenicity studies of this product in animals have not been conducted.

Storage:
Keep in a dry and dark place (no more than 20 ° C from light).
