Product name:
Potassium Chloride Injection 10ml/1g

Character:
This product is a colorless clear liquid.

Indications:
1. Treatment of hypokalemia caused by various causes, such as insufficient eating, vomiting, severe diarrhea, application of potassium-draining diuretics, hypokalemic familial periodic paralysis, long-term use of glucocorticoids and hypertonic glucose supplementation.
2, prevention of hypokalemia, when the patient has potassium loss, especially if the occurrence of hypokalemia is more harmful to the patient (such as patients using digitalis drugs), preventive potassium salt supplementation is required, such as eating little, severe or chronic diarrhea, long-term adrenal corticosteroids, potassium loss nephropathy, Bartter syndrome, etc.
3. Digitalis poisoning causes frequent, multigenic premature beats or tachyarrhythmias.

Drug interaction:
1. Adrenal glucocorticoids, especially those with more obvious effects of salt corticosteroids, adrenal corticosteroids and adrenocorticotropin (ACTH), can promote urinary potassium excretion, and reduce the efficacy of potassium salt when combined with them.
2. Anticholinergic drugs can aggravate the gastrointestinal irritation caused by oral potassium salt, especially potassium chloride.
3. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics aggravate gastrointestinal reactions to oral potassium salt.
4. When combined with stock blood (stock less than 10 days containing 30mmol/L potassium, stock more than 10 days containing 65mmol/L potassium), potassium-containing drugs and potassium-preserving diuretics, the chance of hyperkalemia increased, especially in patients with kidney damage.
5. Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and cyclosporin A can inhibit the secretion of aldosterone and reduce the excretion of potassium in urine, so hyperkalemia is easy to occur when combined.
6. Heparin can inhibit the synthesis of aldosterone and reduce urine potassium excretion, which is easy to cause hyperkalemia when combined with heparin. In addition, heparin can increase the chance of gastrointestinal bleeding.

Pharmacology and toxicology:

Potassium is the main cation in the cell, its concentration is 150-160mmol /L, while the main cation outside the cell is sodium ion, the serum potassium concentration is only 3.5-5.0 mmol/L. The body mainly relies on the Na+-K+ ATPase on the cell membrane to maintain the concentration difference of K+ and Na+ inside and outside the cell. The acid-base balance in the body has an impact on potassium metabolism, such as acidosis when H+ enters the cell, in order to maintain the potential difference between inside and outside the cell, K+ is released outside the cell, causing or aggravating hyperkalemia. Metabolic disorders can also affect acid-base balance, and the normal intracellular and intracellular potassium ion concentration and concentration difference are closely related to some cell functions, such as carbohydrate metabolism, glycogen storage and protein metabolism, nerve, muscle, including myocardial excitability and conductivity.

Storage:
Store tightly.
