This product is white tablet.
Indications:
It is suitable for the treatment of tuberculosis caused by tuberculosis bacilli in combination with other anti-tuberculosis drugs. It can also be used in the treatment of tuberculous meningitis and atypical mycobacterium infection.
Adverse reactions:
1. The most common cases are blurred vision, eye pain, red-green color blindness or vision loss, and reduced visual field (optic neuritis is easy to occur when the daily dose is more than 25mg/kg according to body weight). Visual changes can be unilateral or bilateral;
2. The less common cases were chills, joint swelling and pain (especially big toe, condyle and knee joint), skin fever and tension on the surface of diseased joints (acute gout and hyperuricemia);
3. The rare occurrence of rashes, fever, joint pain and other allergic reactions; Or numbness, tingling, burning pain, or weakness in the hands and feet (peripheral neuritis).
Pharmacology and toxicology:
This product is a synthetic antibacterial anti-tuberculosis drug. The mechanism of action has not been fully elucidated. This product can penetrate into mycobacterium body to interfere with RNA synthesis, thus inhibiting bacterial reproduction, this product is only effective for growth and reproduction of mycobacterium. So far, no cross-resistance between this product and other anti-tuberculosis drugs has been found.
