Indications:

Acyclovir for Injection is indicated for the treatment of severe infections caused by HSV and VZV, including:

Herpes simplex encephalitis: It is the treatment of choice for this potentially life-threatening infection of the brain caused by HSV.

Neonatal herpes infections: It is used in newborns with disseminated herpes infections or central nervous system involvement.

Severe or disseminated herpes infections in immunocompromised patients: It helps control widespread or severe herpes infections in individuals with weakened immune systems, such as those with HIV/AIDS or undergoing immunosuppressive therapy.
