Character:
This product is colorless clear liquid.

Indications:
It is suitable for acute and chronic lung diseases accompanied by abnormal sputum secretion and poor sputum excretion function. Such as acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis and bronchial asthma expectorant treatment.
Preventive treatment of postoperative pulmonary complications.
Treatment of infant respiratory distress Syndrome (IRDS) in preterm infants and newborns.

Adverse reactions:
The toxicity of theophylline often appears in the serum concentration of 15 ~ 20μg/ml, especially at the beginning of treatment, the early common nausea, vomiting, irritability, insomnia, etc., when the serum concentration exceeds 20μg/ml, tachycardia, arrhythmia can occur, the serum theophylline exceeds 40μg/ml, fever, water loss, convulsion and other symptoms can occur. Severe cases can even cause respiratory and cardiac arrest and death.

Pharmacology and toxicology:
Mucosolvan has the properties of promoting mucus removal and dissolving secretions. It can promote the removal of viscous secretions in the respiratory tract and reduce the retention of mucus, thus significantly promoting sputum discharge and improving respiratory conditions. When treated with mucosolvan ®, the patient's mucus production returns to normal. Cough and sputum volume are usually significantly reduced, allowing the surfactant of the respiratory mucosa to perform its normal protective function. The toxicity index of ambroxol in the acute toxicity test was very low. Ambroxol is non-mutagenic (Ames and micronucleus test). Studies of carcinogenicity in mice and rats showed that ambroxol was not carcinogenic.
