Indications:
Cefadoxialexin capsule is suitable for the treatment of urinary tract infection, skin soft tissue infection, acute tonsillitis, acute pharyngitis, otitis media and lung infection caused by sensitive bacteria. This product is an oral preparation and should not be used for severe infections.
Adverse reactions:
The incidence of adverse reactions of this product is about 5%, mainly gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea and upper abdominal discomfort, and allergic reactions such as rash can occur in a few patients. Anaphylactic shock may occur occasionally, and transient elevation of urea nitrogen, serum aminotransferase, and serum alkaline phosphatase may also occur.
Pharmacology and toxicology:
1. Pharmacological action: Cefadoxialexin is the first generation of oral cephalosporin, which has good antibacterial effect on penicillinase producing and non-penicillinase producing staphylococcus aureus, coagulase negative staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Group A hemolytic streptococcus and most other strains. It also has certain antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella, Shigella, Haemophilus influenzae and gonococcus. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus, Enterococcus, Indole-positive Proteus, Enterobacter, Serratia and other enterobacteriaceae bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and fragile Bacteroides are resistant to this product.
2. Toxicological study: Cefadoxialexin is low toxicity. Oral administration of this product was 600mg/kg per day for dogs and 1000mg/kg per day for rats for 6 months, and no toxic reaction was produced on tissues and organs.
