Character:

This product is a colorless clear liquid.

Indications:

(1) Skin and mucous membrane allergy: suitable for long-term, seasonal allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, urticaria, angioneurotic edema, allergic reaction to blood or plasma products, skin scratches.
(2) Motion sickness: prevention and treatment of motion sickness, seasickness, and plane sickness.
(3) For anesthesia and adjuvant treatment before and after surgery, including sedation, hypnosis, analgesia, antiemesis.
(4) For the prevention and treatment of radiation sickness or drug-induced nausea and vomiting.
 

Usage and dosage:

Intramuscular injection for adults

(1) Anti-allergy, 25mg(1 dose) at a time, repeat after 2 hours if necessary; When severe allergy can be used intramuscularly injected 25 ~ 50mg(1 ~ 2), the maximum amount shall not exceed l00mg(4).

(2) In special emergencies, it can be diluted to 0.25% with sterilized water for injection and injected intravenously slowly;

(3) Antiemetics, 12.5 to 25mg(0.5 to 1), repeat every 4 hours if necessary;

(4) Sedation and hypnosis, 25 ~ 50mg(1 ~ 2) at a time.

Normal dosage for children

(1) Anti-allergy, 0.125mg/kg per body weight or 3.75mg/m2 per body surface area, every 4 to 6 hours;

(2) Anti-vertigo, it can be given as needed before going to bed, according to body weight 0.25 ~ 0.5mg/kg or according to body surface area 7.5 ~ 15mg/m2 or 6.25 ~ 12.5mg once, three times a day;

(3) To stop vomiting, according to body weight 0.25 ~ 0.5mg/kg or according to body surface area 7.5 ~ 15mg/m2, repeat every 4 ~ 6 hours if necessary; Or 12.5 to 25mg each time, repeat every 4 to 6 hours if necessary;

(4) Sedation and hypnosis, if necessary, 0.5 ~ 1mg/kg per time according to body weight or 12.5 ~ 25mg per time.

Matters needing attention:

(1) People who are known to be highly allergic to phenothiazines are also allergic to this product.

(2) The following situations should be used with caution: Acute asthma, bladder and neck obstruction, bone marrow suppression, cardiovascular disease, coma, angle-closure glaucoma, liver insufficiency, hypertension, gastric ulcer, obvious symptoms of hypertrophy of prostate, pyloric or duodenal obstruction, respiratory disease (especially in children, phlegm thickens after taking this product, affects expectoration, and inhibits cough reflex), Patients with epilepsy (which can increase the severity of convulsions when given by injection), jaundice, various liver diseases and renal failure, Reye syndrome (extrapyramidal symptoms caused by promethazine are easily confused with Reye syndrome). When using promethazine, special attention should be paid to whether there is intestinal obstruction, or drug overdose, poisoning and other problems, because its symptoms and signs can be covered up by the antiemetic effect of promethazine.
