This ready-to-use formulation is effective against a wide range of bacterial infections.
Active Ingredient: Ciprofloxacin Lactate
Concentration: Commonly available as 200mg/100ml or 400mg/100ml.
Formulation: Clear, slightly yellow to yellow solution.
Administration: Intravenous infusion.

Complicated infections in immunocompromised patients.
Broad-Spectrum Activity: Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Ciprofloxacin is a second-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for DNA replication, transcription, and repair.
This action leads to bacterial cell death and prevents further growth of susceptible organisms.
Recommended Dosage:
Adults:
Mild to moderate infections: 200mg (100ml) every 12 hours.
Severe or complicated infections: 400mg (100ml) every 12 hours.
Children: Not typically recommended for children under 18 years due to potential adverse effects on cartilage development.
Duration of Treatment: Typically 7-14 days, depending on the type and severity of the infection.
Administration:
Must be administered as a slow intravenous infusion over 60 minutes.
Can be switched to oral ciprofloxacin (same dosage) once the patient's condition improves.
Compatibility: Can be infused with other compatible intravenous fluids if needed.
Broad-Spectrum Coverage: Effective against a wide range of bacterial pathogens, including resistant strains.
Convenient Dosing: Twice-daily dosing regimen improves patient compliance.
Ready-to-Use Formulation: Eliminates the need for reconstitution, reducing preparation time and risk of errors.
Storage: Store at controlled room temperature (15-30°C). Protect from light and freezing.
Shelf Life: Typically 24-36 months, depending on the manufacturer.
