Product name:
5% Dextrose and 0.9% Saline Injection

Character:
This product is colorless and clear liquid.

Indications:
Replenish energy and body fluids. For various reasons caused by insufficient food or loss of large amounts of body fluids.

Adverse reaction:
1. Excessive and rapid infusion can cause water and sodium retention, causing edema, elevated blood pressure, rapid heart rate, chest tightness, dyspnea, and even acute left heart failure.
2. Hypernatremia can be caused by improper administration of hypertonic sodium chloride.
3. Too much or too fast administration of hypotonic sodium chloride can cause hemolysis and brain edema.
4. Phlebitis: occurs during hypertonic glucose infusion. The incidence of phlebitis was reduced by using large intravenous drip.
5. Injection of high concentration solution can cause local swelling and pain if extravasated.
6. Reactive hypoglycemia: The combination of excessive insulin, the original tendency of hypoglycemia and the sudden cessation of total intravenous nutrition are prone to occur.
Seven. Hyperglycemic nonketotic coma: It is more common in diabetes, stress, high-dose glucocorticoids, and uremic peritoneal dialysis patients who are given hypertonic glucose solution and total intravenous nutrition therapy.
8. Electrolyte disturbance: low potassium, low sodium and hypophosphatemia are easy to occur when long-term glucose supplementation is simple.

Taboo:
1. Brain, kidney, heart dysfunction;
2. Plasma protein is too low;
3. Patients with uncontrolled diabetes and ketoacidosis;
4. Patients with hypertonic dehydration;
5. Hyperglycemia nonketotic hyperosmolar state.
