Indications:

1. Herpes simplex virus infection: for primary and recurrent cases of genital herpes virus infection, oral use of this product for prevention of recurrent cases.

2. Shingles: For the treatment of shingles in people with normal immune function and mild cases of immune deficiency.

3. Treatment of chickenpox in immunodeficient patients.
 

Usage and dosage:

Take orally

1. Genital herpes treatment and immune deficiency skin and mucosal herpes simplex: adult dose 0.2 g (1 capsule), 5 times a day (5 capsules), 10 days; Or 0.4g (2 capsules) at a time, 3 times a day (6 capsules) for a total of 5 days; Recurrent infection was 0.2 g (1 capsule) once, 5 times a day (5 capsules) for 5 days; Chronic suppression therapy for recurrent infection, 0.2 g (1 capsule) once, 3 times a day, a total of 6 months, if necessary, the dose can be increased to 0.2 g (1 capsule) once, 5 times a day, a total of 6-12 months.

2. Herpes zoster: Adults usually take 0.8 g (4 capsules) once, 5 times a day, for 7 to 10 days.

3. Adult patients with renal insufficiency should adjust the dose according to the following table:

Matters needing attention:

1. People who are allergic to Ganciclovir may also be allergic to this product.

2. People who are dehydrated or have liver or kidney insufficiency should use with caution.

3. Herpes simplex virus and herpes zoster virus may be resistant to herpes simplex virus after long-term or repeated use of this product in patients with severe immune deficiency. If there is no improvement in skin lesions after acyclovir application in herpes simplex patients, the sensitivity of herpes simplex virus to this product should be tested.

4. Follow-up examination: Since most patients with genital herpes are predisposed to cervical cancer, patients should be examined at least once a year for early detection.

5. Medication should be administered as soon as signs and symptoms of herpes appear.

6. The effect of eating on blood drug concentration was not obvious. However, adequate water should be given to the patient during administration to prevent the product from settling in the renal tubules.

Seven. Recurrent genital herpes infection is effective when administered with intermittent short-course therapy. Since animal experiments have found the effect of this product on fertility and mutagenicity, the oral dose and course of treatment should not exceed the recommended standard.
