This product is colorless clear or almost clear liquid.

Indications:

For inducing labor, oxytocin, postpartum and post-abortion uterine bleeding caused by weak or poor contraction; Understanding placental reserve function (oxytocin irritation test).

 

Usage and dosage:

(1) Labor induction or intravenous infusion of oxytocin, 2.5 ~ 5 units at a time, diluted with sodium chloride injection to contain 0.01 units per 1ml. The beginning of the drip should not exceed 0.001 ~ 0.002 units per minute, and the increase should be 0.001 ~ 0.002 units every 15 ~ 30 minutes, until the contraction is similar to the normal delivery period, and the fastest should not exceed 0.02 units per minute, usually 0.002 ~ 0.005 units per minute.

(2) Control postpartum hemorrhage by dropping 0.02 ~ 0.04 units per minute, and intramuscular injection of 5 ~ 10 units can be performed after placenta discharge.

Matters needing attention:

(1) The following conditions should be used with caution: heart disease, critical pelvic misalignment, history of intrauterine infection, cervical surgery, cervical cancer, preterm birth, fetal head not connected, pregnant women over 35 years old, should be vigilant when using fetal abnormalities and the possibility of uterine rupture.

(2) When using oxytocin in sacral canal block, severe hypertension and even cerebrovascular rupture can occur.

(3) Examination and monitoring before and during medication:

Frequency, duration and intensity of uterine contractions;
