Character:
This product is white to white powder, strong hygroscopicity.

Indications:
It is suitable for the following infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this product:
· Upper and lower respiratory tract infections
· Urinary tract infections include uncomplicated gonorrhea
· Peritonitis and other intraperitoneal and pelvic infections
· Sepsis (including typhoid fever)
· Gynecological infection
· Soft tissue infection of bone and joint
· Endocarditis
Because this product is effective against anaerobic bacteria and stable against β-lactamase, it is particularly suitable for aerobic and anaerobic mixed infections, as well as infections caused by β-lactamase producing bacteria that are sensitive to this product.

Drug interaction:
Due to the compatibility of this product with more contraindicated drugs, it is recommended to be administered alone.
1, cephalosporin intravenous infusion with erythromycin, tetracycline, amphotericin B, vasoactive drugs (m-hydroxyamine, norepinephrine, etc.), phenytoin sodium, chlorpromazine, isopropanol, vitamin B group, vitamin C, etc., will appear turbiness. Prosulfanilamide, aspirin, intomethacin, butazone, sulfanilamide can reduce the excretion of sulbactam sodium from the kidney, so the combination of these drugs with this product can increase the blood concentration, prolong the excretion time, and may increase the toxicity.
2. Sulbactam sodium should not be combined with disulfiram (acetaldehyde dehydrogenase inhibitor), and disulfiram-like reactions may occur in individual patients when drinking alcohol or taking alcohol-containing drugs during the application of this product, so drinking alcohol and taking alcohol-containing drugs should be avoided during the application of this product and within a few days after taking the drug.
3. This product is incompatibility with aminopteridine, vancomycin, fluconazole and aminoglycoside antibiotics.
4, this product can not be added to Hartmann's and Ringer's calcium containing solution.

Pharmacology and toxicology:
Cefoxitin sodium for injection kills bacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, and has high resistance to β-lactamase produced by bacteria due to the structural characteristics of this product, the following common clinical gram-positive, negative aerobic and anaerobic pathogens are highly sensitive to this product.
The sensitivity of cefoxitin sodium for injection to the following bacteria depends on the strain for drug sensitivity tests.
- Acinetobacter is nitrate negative
- Alcaligenes faecalis
- Citrobacter
- Enterobacter
Cefoxitin sodium for injection was resistant to pseudomonas aeruginosa, most strains of enterococcus and clostridium.
