Component:
The main ingredient of this product is and its chemical name is: N(2) -L-alanyl-L-glutamine.

Character:

This product is colorless and clear liquid.

Indications:

It is suitable for parenteral nutrition in patients requiring glutamine supplementation, including patients in catabolic and hypermetabolic conditions.
 

Usage and dosage:

This product is a highly concentrated solution and cannot be transfused directly. Before infusion, it must be mixed with a compatible amino acid solution or an infusion containing amino acids, and then infused with a carrier solution. 1 volume of the product should be mixed with at least 5 volumes of the carrier solution (e.g., 100 mL of the product should be added to at least 500ml of the carrier solution), and the maximum concentration of the product in the mixture should not exceed 3.5%.

The dosage depends on the degree of catabolism and the amino acid requirement. The maximum daily dose of amino acids provided by parenteral nutrition is 2g/kg body weight, and the amount of alanine and glutamine supplied through this product should be calculated. The amount of amino acids supplied by this product should not exceed 20% of the total amino acid supply.

Daily dose: 1.5 ~ 2.0ml/kg body weight, equivalent to 0.3 ~ 0.4g N(2) -L-alanyl-L-glutamine /kg body weight (for example: 70kg weight patients need 100 ~ 140ml of this product per day).

Maximum daily dose: 2.0ml/kg body weight. When adding the carrier solution, the dosage is adjusted:

When the amino acid requirement is 1.5g/kg body weight/day: 1.2g amino acid is provided by the carrier solution, 0.3g amino acid is provided by this product. When the amino acid requirement is 2g/kg body weight/day: 1.6g amino acid is provided by the carrier solution, and 0.4g amino acid is provided by this product.

The infusion rate depends on the carrier solution, but should not exceed 0.1g amino acids /kg body weight/hour.

This product should not be used continuously for more than three weeks.

Matters needing attention:

1. The patient's alkaline phosphatase (ALP) alanine aminotransferase (ALT) aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and acid-base balance should be monitored during the use of this product

2. Regular monitoring of liver function is recommended for patients with compensatory hepatic insufficiency

3. When this product is added to the carrier solution, it must be ensured that they are compatible, that the mixing process is carried out in a clean environment, and that the solution is completely mixed

4. Do not add other drugs to the mixed solution

5. This product can not be stored after adding other ingredients
