Indications: Tobramycin ophthalmic solution is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye, such as:

• Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
• Blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids)
• Keratitis (inflammation of the cornea)

Dosage and Administration:

• Typical Dosage: 1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 4-6 hours.
• Severe Infections: May require more frequent dosing initially (every 1-2 hours).
• Duration: Treatment should continue for at least 24-48 hours after symptoms resolve, but generally should not exceed 7-10 days without consulting a healthcare provider.

Precautions:

• Allergies: Check for a history of hypersensitivity to tobramycin or other aminoglycosides.
• Contact Lenses: Remove contact lenses before application and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.
