Adults:
Mild to moderate infections: 250-500mg every 6 hours, intravenously or intramuscularly.
Severe infections: 1-2g every 4-6 hours, intravenously.
Children:
Dosage: 100-200mg/kg body weight per day, divided into 4-6 doses, intravenously or intramuscularly.

Injection site reactions (e.g., pain, redness)
Serious side effects (e.g., severe allergic reactions, Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhea) are rare but require immediate medical attention.

History of severe allergic reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis) to beta-lactam antibiotics.
